Hello, I am Derek! I am this non-profits co-founder and philanthropy director! Including with my past experiences in student government and club development in both middle and high school, such as YEA SOTA, APG MS student government, and, APG MS Chess Club, I personally believe in putting passion into your interests, and following your goals, while making the job fun! Here at RRSF, our job is to help not just you, but everyone in our community of SF to bring the best opportunities for quality education and arts funding, and opportunities to fund for the underrepresented as much as we possibly can!
Ethan Zhao
Hi! I’m Ethan, one of the Branch Founders of the Restoring Rainbows Chapter in the glorious city of San Francisco. I joined Restoring Rainbows because I was inspired by its dual vision of helping the environment and promoting the arts, on a youth level. In my tenure, I have grown my chapter to be the largest in the state, bettering the community in many ways by providing service opportunities for like-minded students, helping schools by donating supplies they desperately need-especially given that our city lives in a budget deficit-as well as helping the environment by recycling school supplies! In 2025, I look forward to expanding Restoring Rainbows San Francisco’s activities and doing many more art drives. In my spare time (when I even get any) I like getting boba, listening to music, or playing video games such as Valorant. Thank you for having me as a branch founder and here is to another year at Restoring Rainbows!
